Description

From sharing zucchini seeds over the fence with a neighbour to taking a cutting from a friend's thriving rosemary bush, propagating your own herbs and vegetables is easy, inexpensive and so very satisfying. Learn the basics of how to produce new plants from seed, cuttings and division in organic growing conditions in this hands-on workshop. Horticulturalist Therese Scales will take the class through seasonal timing for growth, heirloom and hybrid seeds, and propagation media using practical examples inside the CERES hothouses. Participants can take home any plants they have propagated on the day.

Trainer Bio:

Therese Scales is a Horticulture teacher at CERES. She has been a Horticulture teacher for eight years. She has a keen interest in backyard growing and sharing her knowledge.

The class was very enjoyable and I learnt a lot. Since then a few of my cuttings have died, so it would be great to have a follow up class to understand why this happened and how it can be mitigated.
