This fun new class commences at Hobbymedo where you will be given a brief rundown on suitable items to look for and the options available for altering the fit and modifying the design of your chosen piece. We will then head out in a group on foot to the Salvos op-shop around the corner (on the same block) to buy the item/s you wish to modify. Once back at Hobbymedo we will discuss as a group the chosen items and ideas for their modification before commencing activities. There will be a wide range of options available including fabric painting and stamping, embroidery, sewing and embellishments with the guidance and assistance of your workshop presenter. Projects you may like to consider could be anything from resizing clothing to changing a pair of socks to fingerless gloves or a man's shirt into an apron, not to mention the vast array of ideas for denim jeans. You are welcome to bring your own item from home if you have something you wish to modify.
