You will be creating your own linocut which can be used for printing fabric or paper.
You will learn the lino-cutting process and experiment with cuts and texture. During class you will focus on simple designs. It won't be possible to cut complex designs in one day. Dijanne will discuss design balance and creating more complex designs, negative space and how to use your computer in aiding design and refining.
You will make prints on cloth, different types of cloth, and look at how to use printed fabrics in projects.
Materials fee: $22 includes the lino, use of tools and printing ink. You can add this to your ticket purchase at checkout.
