In one day, learn to hand dye and over dye cotton fabric to create maximum colour effects. You will learn simple resist techniques to create interesting effects such as scrunching, tieing, and folding. We will discuss colour mixing, but there will not be any gradation dyeing (ombre).
You will go home with 5-6 metres of hand dyed fabric in lots of different colours. You can nominate specific colours you would like to dye.
Materials fee: $15 for dye and soda ash.
Guest Artist Tutor: Dijanne Cevaal is an internationally recognised Textile Artist based (when she's not in Europe) in Geelong. She loves to dye and print fabrics and assemble them into quilts and other textiles with lots of stitching both by hand and machine. She also creates her own linocuts for printing on fabric, and has written several books.

If for any reason you decide that the workshop you have done or are doing does not suit you, then that is a personal decision and no refund will be given.
If Opendrawer cancels a workshop, you will be given a full refunds or can choose a replacement workshop to the same value as the workshop being cancelled. You will be notified at least 2 days before the due date of the workshop if cancellation is necessary due to insufficient enrolments.
A $10 admin fee applies to all changes of date/workshop bookings.
Cancellations made within two weeks of the booked workshop will forfeit 50% of the advertised fee - or you may find a replacement student.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the workshop will forfeit the full advertised fee - or you may find a replacement student.
