Description

This course will be a brief look into some of the writing techniques Tom has learnt over his years as a lyricist.

In this 4 hour workshop we’ll  review some of the fundamentals of the craft such as syncopation, time signature and multi syllabic rhyme schemes, as well as some of the more abstract parts of the art form, such as improvisation, feel and the role of the sub conscious within music.

We can’t promise you’ll be the next Kendrick Lamar, but you’ll definitely walk away with a better understanding of some important aspects of the art form and learn some valuable insights and ideas that Tom has picked up on his travels.

My name is Tom Scott. Music is my life. And my job. I run a record label called ‘Young, Gifted and Broke’ and I run my mouth in a group called @Peace. I’ll shut up now and let the music talk.  https://soundcloud.com/younggiftedandbroke
