Experimentation is the main point of this workshop but you will be guided through a process, basic colour theory, colour mixing, methods of application and how to build effective focus points into your work.
This workshop is great for beginners with no experience or artists that want to learn new techniques.
Amy Crow is a Brisbane based Graphic Designer, Illustrator and Visual Artist. She is highly experimental and endeavours to continuously learn new techniques to apply in her practice.
Her work moves between limited colour pallets of bright colours, screen printed backgrounds, sometimes with added typographic elements or simple graphic shapes. Her main subject matter is of females, in particular the face. She strives to communicatea fleeting feeling of the strength of women. Everything is experimental with little concentrated thought on the end result. Her work is about the process it takes to create the piece. She strives for defining features in her work such as cutting her canvasses into different shapes, this adds a focal element to her work as well as making physical choices in how she depicts her work, unrestrained by conventional canvasses.
