Lets make tomato passata together with fresh whole egg pasta! In this class we strip back all the fuss of modern cooking and get back to basics. When the pasta is freshly made and the passata is produced from garden fresh tomatoes, there are fewer pleasures in life that can compare! We will make fresh passata from this summers tomatoes, mill, bottle and pasturize so the sauce will be safely kept under vacuum for up to a year. Meanwhile we will roll out and cook some silky hand cut pappardelle and eat them with passata, parmesan, basil and a glass of wine! Salute!

25 February 2019 • Fresh Pasta And Tomato Passata Master Class

What a great experience. A really good balance of demonstrations from experts and hands on practical experience. Getting to sit together at the end and share the meal together was a lovely way to end the workshop. We will definitely be back for more.

18 February 2019 • Fresh Pasta And Tomato Passata Master Class

This was quite an expensive class for a "Masterclass" that wasn't hands on. It was basically a 3 hour demonstration from two lovely Nonna's about how to make pasta and how to make sauce. The sauce was made using large machines which isn't practical for a home cook and while some people put their hands up to do bits and pieces here and there, we all sat around watching. We were also told that the pasta MUST be measured out as specific measurements make the perfect pasta, but the amount was modified based on the nonna's "feel" of the right consistency. When asked how much extra flour was used the nonna simply replied "you just know, you can feel it". Overall this was disappointing based on the cost of the class.

Hi Kylie, thank you for the review. We are sorry to see 1 person was not satisfied in the group, since we put a lot of effort to organise workshops.For$69 you had great homemade fresh pasta, sugo and a lot of snacks and this only at a restaurant would be worth more than $69.Experience per se is great and very genuine and we enjoy it a lot too, even if it's hard work.We are fairly sure that Nonnas asked repeatedly to help them and join the"hands on activity"but we heard a few"no"and the usual few people were doing most of the job. The machine used is our demo and we have no choice, but you can find(even in store)lots of equipment sizes for every need,as Nonnas also said. They have created recipes for ages and they tend to adjust every time according to situation, weather etc.,but they put precise indications on the notes we provide(hopefully yours weren't amongst the copies we found left behind). We hope you will reconsider your "stars" and start making pasta soon! Thanks again and ciao!
