This class will introduce students to all the skills required to make clean and simple finished round cake. Students will also learn the techniques needed to create an eye catching Marbled Fondant Cake and Wafer Paper Flowers. 

Other Learning Outcomes

-Learn how to mask a round cake in ganache using the "lid" method to achieve the famous Australian Method - "Sharp Edges"

-Learn how to knead, roll out and apply fondant to a round cake to achieve the famous Australian Method - "Sharp Edges"

-Learn to colour fondant and create the amazing marbled effect. 

-Learn how to make Wafer Paper Flowers and adhere to the cake.

Fantastic course, Linda is great and very helpful, she gives plenty of tips and practical advice. I feel confident in preparing and putting fondant on a cake now and the flowers were so easy to make!

This is the first class that I have attended in many years & I thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything was ready & well laid out. Plenty of work space. Notes were clear & concise. Visual display via camera to big screen was well managed. Group was a good size that everyone got instructor attention. Other participants were all helpful & encouraging. I learned many techniques for better working with fondant. My cake wasn't perfect, I was too slow with fondant application, but I have learnt from this & hopefully not make this mistake again. This was a lovely way to spend a day, with like minded people & I have a gorgeous cake (it still looks great) to share with friends. Thank you Linda, you were terrific!
