If you’ve been curious about how to make natural soap completely from scratch, but perhaps a little daunted by how to start, then this is the class for you!
Not only is it a wonderful skill to have, but once you can make your own nourishing and moisturising soaps, you won’t need to go back to mass-produced “soap” again, with its artificial ingredients and drying detergents.
Much like cooking, soap making uses some ingredients and equipment you might already have in your kitchen.
During this class you will be shown how a batch of soap is made, using natural vegetable oils and pure plant essential oils. You will then participate in making soap under supervision. Batches will be shared so that you will be able to take home 3 different types of soap. You will receive instructions on how to cut and cure the soap by yourself at home.
Some of the topics covered during the class include:
Upon completion of this class you should have the confidence to make more soap at home, experimenting with different ingredients, fragrances, exfoliants and colours. Soap making can be very addictive, with endless possibilities for creativity!
Class duration is approximately 3 hours, with time for refreshment breaks.
Cost of the class includes all materials and use of equipment, class notes and 3 types of soap to take home and cure.
Workshops are all hands-on with little theory involved and no exams. A small class size ensures maximum trainer attention, and you'll learn by doing the whole process yourself. With your trainer alongside, you'll learn first-hand how to use the various ingredients and techniques.
