Bullet Journaling: It's For Everyone
What is bullet journaling and why should you start your own?
By now it’s likely you’ve heard of the hot trend through the interwebs that is bullet journaling. If you’re a planner type of person, you know how difficult it can be to find a system that works for you. Know the feeling well? Then bullet journaling might just be your new favourite way to get things organised.
So what exactly is bullet journaling? It’s been dubbed the “analog system for the digital age”. No, it’s not actually a physical object, but rather a concept for task management. You write down the things you need done, places you need to be, and ideas that come to you. Then, at the beginning of every month, take a look back at your list from the previous month, remove items that are no longer relevant, and then start anew.
Take away the hype and bullet journaling actually makes a really good planner. Many converts testify to how this concept has increased their productivity and in some cases “changed their life”, because it gives them much room to make plans based on their own unique needs, lifestyle, and thought processes.
With all the beautiful and “perfect” bullet journal spreads that can be found on the internet, making your own can seem intimidating. But literally, all you’ll need to get started is a notebook and a pen. Word Hunter Story Gatherer’s latest workshop, Bullet Journaling + Self Care, shares the basics of the bullet journal or “BuJo” system, as well as how to get an effective start and how to keep going.
