Monday classes are open to beginner artists looking to learn, and experienced artists seeking to improve their skills in any media or style. Whether you are a new artist starting your first work, or an accomplished artist seeking further improvement, this class will really help you develop in a supportive environment.
At this class you can learn at your own pace in the medium and style of your choice. You will be encouraged and coached to develop the artistic and technical skills you need to get maximum satisfaction from your art.
What do I bring? Bring along your own paints/pastels/pencils, brushes and paper/canvas (new or unfinished project) – whatever materials you have.

Our history
The Box Hill Art Group Inc. was established in 1952 and since then it has nurtured many thousands of budding artists, as well as stretching the skills of experienced and exhibiting artists.
Moreover, we cater for watercolours, oils, acrylics, pastels, drawing, life drawing and mixed media.
We also offer our member’s access to lessons, paint outs, art demonstrations, competitions, exhibitions and arts awards.
The Box Hill Art Group will open up a whole new colourful world for you to enjoy.
Our membership
Membership is open to anyone between 16 and 116 years of age. Whether you are just starting out in painting or drawing or have been doing it for years you will love being a part of this group, meeting with like minded people to express yourself visually.
Cancellations & Refunds
Term Classes: Make up classes are available free of charge within the same term.
Single Classes: Not refundable, however classes are transferable within the term in which they are booked.
No tutor available: Considered to be a regular class if a substitute tutor is provided. If not attended a make up class is available within the same term. If you stay and paint without a tutor a make up class is still available within the same term.
Life Drawing : Members: A make up/transfer session is available for the next life drawing session only if you notify us prior to the session.
Non members: A make up/transfer session is NOT available and a refund will not be provided.
Workshops: Members and Non members: 100% refund (less booking fees) will be provided if at least 10 days notice. 50% refund (less booking fees) will be provided if at least 5 days notice.
All sessions: If cancelled by Box Hill Art Group a full refund will be provided.

Terms & Conditions
Non members are entitled to only purchase ONE single $25 tutored class.
All additional purchases require the participant to become a member of the Box Hill Art Group.
This condition excludes Life Drawing sessions and one day workshops which are open to everyone.
