Painting the Essence in Acrylics

Painting the Essence in Acrylics

A Full Day Workshop with Craig Penny

Next Available: Sat, 02 Jul 10:00AM (AEST)
6 hours
Over 10 people have attended this class

Craig says “ I like to think that to paint a successful painting is not so much to have tamed the beast, rather to have been taken along for the ride and still be there at the end of the experience.
For me painting is like life ... giving yourself enough skill, knowledge and integrity and then letting yourself free to take what is thrown your way. You don't need to tame and control it for magic to happen... you just need to be there at the end.”
Come along to this workshop and experience the thrill and make some magic happen for yourself.
You will go home with two paintings. For the first Craig will explain his methodology and will bring it alive in a step by step process where everyone can paint along. Then everyone will create a painting of their own while Craig provides personalised feedback and helps get your creative focus working.
It will be an exciting day, don’t miss it.

Craig will be painting a larger scale landscape 122 x 92 cm.

This will be the major project for the day. Techniques on painting water and reflections within the landscape will be explored.

A smaller seascape will also be explored, and offered as a fun challenge to the participants.
