Description

This beginner’s course is suitable for all skill levels in the kitchen, from the enthusiastic home cook to the more experienced chef who would like to learn how to make England’s national dish the chicken Tikka Massala. This is a mild curry suitable for the whole family.

You will be making the following under Tommy’s direct supervision, Chicken Tikka Massala, Rice Pilaf, and a mango relish.

The learning outcomes of this class are:

  • The proper butchery technique of breaking down a whole chicken for sauté
  • How to marinate meat for your curry
  • The correct cooking technique for our style of curry
  • Balancing spices and flavours
  • Correct seasoning
  • How to cook pilaf rice
  • How to braise

  • Make your own mango salsa to accompany your curry night
  • Grow your confidence in the kitchen 

Take home notes on the class with recipes and step-by-step guides so you can create it time and time again.

This fun day is filled with skills, knowledge, tips and tricks of the trade to help you improve your technique.

You will get to take home everything you make and taste chef Tommy’s demonstration. You will produce enough food to cater, for 4-6 people depending on your diners…

We will be using free-range chicken, Pepe Saya ghee and basmati rice.

Celebration Cooking with Jessica Pedemont is now offering cooking, chocolate, cake decorating classes in our fun classroom Sydney based kitchen.

Celebration Cooking offers a range of classes from pastry cooking to cake decorating and sculpture. Classes run are able to run 7 days week and are taught at our purpose built kitchen in Canterbury in Sydney's inner west. Classes run for 3hrs+ depending on the topic.A variety of cake decorating and cooking/baking lessons in a fun filled atmosphere where the utensils, equipment, aprons and ovens are all supplied. Over a dozen classes to chose from with classes made to order for 4 or more people.
