


Edendale Repair Cafe workshop
Description
A Repair Cafe is a place where community volunteers help to repair items that community members bring in to repair. We want to hear from you about the possibility of running a Repair Cafe at Edendale Farm. Repair Cafes are usually held monthly throughout the year.
This workshop will cover:
* Edendale's vision as a Nillumbik Environment and Climate Action Hub
* Edendale Repair Cafe survey findings
* What Edendale can do to support the Repair Cafe
* Nillumbik Repair Cafe- sharing experiences and questions
* Mapping Community Assets
* Group work - roles you would like to be involved in
* Next steps- open discussion
This workshop has been designed to bring together the community members who are interested in running a Repair Cafe at Edendale, and to answer any questions about the initiative. We hope to see you there!
What you will learn
- Hear about what the Repair Cafe survey found and connect with other community members keen to run a Repair Cafe at Edendale Farm
What you will get
- Hear about the Nillumbik Repair Cafe based at the Hurstbridge Hub and bring your questions
While there is some parking available at the front of Edendale we would encourage you to investigate some more sustainable transport options including:
- Riding your bike
- Public Transport
- Walking
- Car pooling
Some overflow parking may be available at Eltham North playground. Plan your visit

Edendale is a Community Environment Farm on 6 hectares of land adjacent to the Diamond Creek in Eltham.
We are open 7 days a week 10am to 4.30pm.
Entry to the farm is by Donation at one of our electronic tap points around the farm.
Along with our animals, indigenous plant nursery, school environmental education program, events and workshops, Edendale plays an important role as a hub for the local community to learn and share ideas about sustainable living, caring for nature and climate action.

Cancellations & Refunds
If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
You’re welcome to send someone in your place.
OR
- A refund can be requested 3 days before class starts. Free of charge.
- A transfer can be requested 3 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
- A credit note can be requested 3 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
No changes will be allowed after these times.
Terms & Conditions
Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Edendale Farm or organised by Edendale Farm must agree to these terms and conditions.
1. LIABILITY WAIVER
I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised by Edendale Farm
2. PHOTO & VIDEO
I agree to give Edendale Farm unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs, videos or recordings taken at Edendale Farm classes and events or on Edendale Farm premises. (For use of Edendale Farm marketing materials).
Photos and videos recordings will not be taken of children without written permission from parents or guardians.
3. CANCELLATIONS
In the event that a class is cancelled by Edendale Farm, students will be notified via email and entitled to a full refund, transfer or credit.
