Description

There is possibly no other food that captures the soul of Cucina Italiana like a simple plate of pasta.

As every region of Italy has developed its own pasta making tradition, there are an infinite number of pasta shapes and sauces to discover.

In addition, this course gives you the basic skills for making your own fresh pasta; from selecting ingredients to correct techniques for mixing, kneading and rolling. You will also be guided on how to make beautiful silky pasta sheets for lasagne, spaghetti and fettuccine and how to pair your pasta with the perfect sauce.

Using many of the premium ingredients imported by Enoteca Sileno you will learn how to prepare a range of simple delicious dishes with that authentic Italian touch.

This is a HANDS-ON class presented by chef Dario De Clerico. As one of our more popular classes, this course is designed for people of any level of cooking experience. The class concludes with a pasta lunch, and includes wine.

***Please note, this class may not be suitable for gluten-intolerant individuals. We apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment.***

The company was founded in Melbourne in 1953 by Luigi Di Santo, and over the next few decades introduced many of the Italian food and wines which would transform the way Australia dined.

Today, under the direction of Luigi’s daughter Rosemary and her husband John Portelli, along with a dedicated, passionate team, Enoteca Sileno continues to set the standard for the distribution of Italian gastronomy in Australia.

In addition to the Import Office and Wholesale Division, the business also includes a Retail Showroom, online store and Scuola di Cucina Cooking School.
