The Punch Bowl is back. Not the sweet, fruity stuff of backyard barbecues and office parties, but as an elegant blend of refined spirits, liqueurs and infusions. A beautiful bowl of punch creates the tone for any celebration. And let’s face it, there is something democratic about everyone enjoying the same drink, with each return to the punch bowl offering the prospect of new encounter.
For this special Melbourne Food and Wine Festival Event, Enoteca Sileno welcomes Shaun Byrne, cocktail consultant and co-founder of Maidenii vermouth, who will be demonstrating some of his favourite punch cocktails. The ticket includes a glass of each of the punches demonstrated, a tasting of a wide selection of spirits, liqueurs and amaro by Italian brands Varnelli, Beppi Tosolini, Lucrezio R. and Rossa Sicily, to help you plan your own creations, a booklet with all the recipes and a selection of Italian antipasti.
Held under the vines in Enoteca Sileno’s courtyard, this event will be part cocktail class, part product sampling, but mostly just pure enjoyment of excellent punch cocktails.
