This workshop is an introduction to photographic composition and perspective.
Participants will partake in a set of discussions and practical exercises to get them thinking about the dynamics that make successful photographs. The intention of the class is to not only talk about “rules”. but rather a whole attitude to photography. As a guide this is simply a means to build healthy practices that will give you more control over the end result.
Participants will walk away with an altered outlook and a few simple guides to help them make more considered and consistent photographs. There will be an emphasis on “in-camera” photography. Shooting with intent at the moment of capture. This will guide the participants to develop good discipline with a minimal focus on post production.
Pre-requisite: Introduction to photography course or knowing camera basics, highly recommended (such as what is focal length, shutter speed, aperture and ISO). This is not compulsory but you will get more out of it if you have already done the introduction to photography course.
