These classes never disappoint and this one was no exception. Great wines and a lively group of participants expressing with a wide variation of comments and personal perception of the wines shown. All conducted under Matthew's first-class knowledge, input, encouragement and professionalism..

My umpteenth class/dinner with Matthew of Fine Wine Appreciation, as always a superb experience of brilliant wines, excellent company and fine food. This man's knowledge, passion and communication skills are exemplary! I look forward to many more wine - related events with F. W. A.

I came away from Matthew Hansen's Beginner's Wine Class with an understanding of the characteristics of excellent wine as well as the effects of both climate and time on quality . I was surprised by the difference between a wine tasted without food compared to when it was accompanied by food. Some of the wines that I was initially unsure about seemed to morph for me with food. Having been a bit nervous about my naïveté about wine I was delighted with the way Matthew ran the class. It was relaxed, structured, informative and non-judgemental. I highly recommend this class and will be attending more of Matthew's classes/dinners. Thank you!
