In this workshop you will learn how to enjoy the benefits of taking Pilates for a run. Every exercise performed will be related directly to running. You will experience the Pilates exercises in a way that ensures your clear understanding of how to take all of the benefits of Pilates on The Run.

Running is an innate and natural movement pattern that has the potential to be as freeing for the body as Pilates. Dysfunctional movement patterns that show up in running can become deeply entrenched in a runners neurobiology and very challenging to undo. The Pilates method holds tremendous potency for reconnecting (even the most imbalanced) runners their natural state of balance and flow.

Weaknesses and imbalances that show up in your Running can be quickly and effectively addressed in this workshop. Through a series of well executed Pilates exercises you will set up new and healthy neuromuscular patterns that are essential to injury free running. Identify and correct imbalances that inhibit your running performance and discover the joy of taking the ease, flow and alignment of Pilates on The Run..

Pilates On the Run is taught by Maggie Macgill, who is an accomplished Chi Running® teacher and Pilates educator with 18 years of international coaching experience. Maggie holds a degree in research methods, Masters level certification in Pilates and is a qualified life coach. Her clients have included sufferers of acute and chronic pain through to professional sportspeople, paralympians and Olympic gold medalists.

Maggie was great! It seems strange to learn how to run at the age of 55, but when you learn about the proper mechanics of running and how to prepare and protect your body it all makes sense :) Ric
