I throughly enjoyed the classes. Francesca is welcoming, warm and knowledgeable. The classes were a great combination of playing with beautiful flowers, learning floristry techniques, lovely company, coffee, tea and yummy scones. I look forward to doing more of Francesca’s classes.

An excellent course - highly recommended. I have attended many workshops with Francesca and with each one I learn something new - even if we are making an arrangement using previously learned skills and techniques. I have also completed many workshops with other Florists and, while I have enjoyed them very much, without doubt Francesca's are my favourite. Francesca is a very talented and creative florist - actually she is very talented and creative in everything she undertakes. She is also a very gifted potter, artist and one of the best baristas in Brisbane. Yes - she even has a commercial coffee machine and provides tea, coffee, homemade cakes, biscuits and other refreshments at her workshops. Francesca's creativity extends to the courses she offers - visits to flower farms, farmers markets, monthly flower club, speciality workshops for Easter, Christmas, Mothers' Day, etc. Her courses are designed to ensure students have a well rounded understanding of floral design and floristry practices - both the hands on skills and business aspects of the industry. Francesca is an excellent teacher - she is knowledgeable, kind, patient and supportive. She has that enviable ability to instruct in a way that is easy to understand and put into practice. She is able to provide assistance without taking over so when you leave the workshop you are proudly taking home a beautiful design that you have created yourself even if you have never arranged flowers before. Francesca ensures her workshops provide a safe, friendly and happy environment for all participants. Without exception all of the ladies I have met through Francesca's workshops are lovely and some have become friends. Francesca is committed to championing women and developing a sisterhood of friendship and kindness to others which I am sure is a key reason she has such a high level of repeat participation. It is always so nice to arrive at a new workshop and see some of the same ladies from previous workshops and meet new ones. I have completed many of Francesca's one-off workshops and Floral Basics 4 Week Courses - Block A and Block B. I am currently attending Block C. I love it so much that I am constantly checking Francesca's website for new workshops to ensure I don't miss out - her courses sell out very quickly. Each 4 week course has developed my floral design skills, techniques and confidence beyond anything I could ever have imagined when I decided to try floral design for personal development, social interaction and alleviate loneliness. I live on acreage in a rural town and spend a lot of time on my own as my partner is frequently interstate or overseas with his work. I often joke that my best friend is a Dobermann (I have two beautiful males and it's not really a joke)! Many a true word spoken in jest! Francesca has a loyal following and it is no wonder. Who doesn't want to be a part of a community where you are made to feel genuinely welcome, special and valued? The workshops are excellent value for money. Francesca always supplies everything you need to produce a beautiful floral design - fresh, exceptional quality flowers and foliage; vases (unless otherwise stated) and floristry materials. I honestly don't know how she does it for the price. If you are hesitant about signing up for a 4 week commitment, try a one-off class to see whether you like it. I guarantee that, like myself, you will discover a hidden talent - one that will bring much enjoyment and happiness. You will also become a member of an extended network of like-minded women with a shared passion.
