This Screen Printing workshop will cover the very basics of Screen Printing using stencils.

Using stencils to Screen Print is a cost effective and flexible way to achieve a screened look without the cost and hassle of creating your own exposed screens. The skills learned in this workshop will give you the ability to easily begin printing your own fabrics at home.

In this workshop you will be guided through creating a stencil and given hints and tips on what works best. After you have carved your stencil you will then do a print onto fabric using the stencil you have made. Participants will have a selection of colours they can use to print with on the day and will take home their finished stencil (which is completely washable) and print.

If you'd like to print a bag or t-shirt bring them along.  

Participants should wear enclosed shoes as we are working with sharp tools.

All materials are provided for use on the day.  A few days before the workshop an email will be sent to participants with information about choosing something to print on the day.  Partcipants are encourage to print their own unique design.

Suitable for: Adults 15+.  This workshop uses sharp tools and is therefore only suitable for adults.

Class Schedule

Workshop will be held on September 17 (Sunday) and runs from 10 am until 12:30 pm. Some participants may finish earlier.

This programme of craft workshops, demonstrations and Q&A sessions provides a fantastic opportunity for people to learn new skills, showcase local talent and add extra creativity to Brisbane.

These workshops are conducted by some of Brisbane’s finest artisans to give you a hands on approach to learning your new skill. With many classes also providing the materials, all you need to do is turn up and start creating!

Enclosed Footwear is required by participants at every workshop. Hands On Brisbane reserves the right to refuse entry to a workshop if the attendee is not wearing suitable attire.
