Description

Learn the basics of hand sewing in this workshop.  

Participants will learn how to apply hand stitches to a variety of projects & applications.  Learn how to repair a stuffed toy, how to mend & hem clothing,& how to use hand stitches to create handmade wares.

We will make a small needle fold and pincushion during the workshop which will come together using 5 basic stitches, ladder stitch, blanket stitch, whip stitch, running stitch and the hem stitch. 

Participants will also learn about their essential tools and materials plus some handy extra hints and tips that make hand sewing a breeze.

You will receive a basic supplies tool kit including threads and needles to take home as well as your needle fold and pincushion.

All materials provided. Feel free to bring along anything you want hints on repairing or making.

Small class size of maximum 8 participants.

Suitable for participants aged 12+.  We will be using sharp tools (needles and scissors)

Enclosed Footwear is required by participants at every workshop. Hands On Brisbane reserves the right to refuse entry to a workshop if the attendee is not wearing suitable attire.
