Water Marbled Scarf with Jackie & Sue

Description

In this workshop participants will learn how to water marble in a marbling tank and create a beautiful scarf to take home. Jackie will do a demonstration of a free form design, using tools & paints to create a design and print onto a scarf.  

Each person will choose up to 5 colours for their design. This workshop utilises 2 marbling tanks between a class of 8 participants. 

All materials are provided.

Participants should bring along an apron or clothing that can dirty as you are working with paints.

Suitable for: Adults and children 10+.  Participants under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult and both must purchase a ticket.

The Wise Foundation is proud to present Hands On Brisbane.

This programme of craft workshops, demonstrations and Q&A sessions provides a fantastic opportunity for people to learn new skills, showcase local talent and add extra creativity to Brisbane.

These workshops are conducted by some of Brisbane’s finest artisans to give you a hands on approach to learning your new skill. With many classes also providing the materials, all you need to do is turn up and start creating!

Enclosed Footwear is required by participants at every workshop. Hands On Brisbane reserves the right to refuse entry to a workshop if the attendee is not wearing suitable attire.

Participants are required to sign a waiver at the workshop they attend. Participants are to follow instructions, safety precautions and advice when given.

Participants are required to arrive on time.  Our workshops will start on time.  If you are not attending on the day please contact Hands On Brisbane using the contact information in the mail out that is sent a few days before the event.  If you are unable to attend on the day please pass your ticket on to a friend.  As we prepare in advance for the number of attendees we are unable to offer you a refund.

I would highly recommend this class. I learnt so much had fun and made a gorgeous silk scarf. Sue and Jackie were both excellent teachers and I am looking forward to attending the next level of water marbling.

This was a great class. Jackie & Sue were very clear in their instructions and offered help when it was asked for. The whole group were cheerful, encouraging and friendly. And we ended up with a lovely scarf. I would highly recommend this class to everyone. A fun way to spend a Sunday morning.
