Description

Come along to this interactive introduction to Alcohol Inks with local artist, designer and teacher Belinda Gillies from www.clickybirdshop.com. A perfect way to start the weekend and get the creative juices flowing!

Never painted before? Not a problem! This workshop is suitable to beginners to intermediate artists. This is a safe & fun space to experiment, play and learn a new skill!

Belinda will advise you on what paper to use, alcohol ink brands and techniques with methylated spirits, leaf foil, alcohol & acrylic inks. Alcohol inks produce beautiful results when blended, leaving you with a bright or moody piece to frame and hang!

What will I create?

- 1x A4 art piece

- 1 x A5 piece

-2 small planter vases

Suitable for: Adults and children 12+.  Participants under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult and both must purchase a ticket.

Cancellation Policy: As we purchase materials based on the number of attendees for each workshop we are unable to refund tickets. We do welcome you to pass your ticket to a friend to come in your place. Please email us if you do wish to change the name on the ticket.

If you are unwell (cough, runny nose, fever) in the lead up to the workshop please notify us. We will offer a credit or transfer to the same workshop at a later date. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THESE SYMPTOMS.

Hands On Brisbane perks
All participants at Hands On Brisbane get 10% off at The Gardens Club cafe on the day of their workshop. Simply show your ticket at the cafe when ordering. You can show your ticket on paper OR on your phone (a pdf or screen shot is fine). You can also grab an attendee card from the Hands On staff.

Please note, a condition of attending our workshop is that you need to provide your name, address and phone number on the day. This information will be kept for 50 days, then destroyed.

i enjoyed the workshop very much. Belinda imparts her knowledge in a practical way and is on hands to help and explain as well as answer any question you may have. Belinda and Matt are a great team and friendly enough to make everyone feel welcome. The workshop provided solid first step towards alcohol ink as a diverse and rich art medium. Perhaps would have being nice to introduce other participants to facilitate network and discussions on ways to incorporate the art more broadily

Enclosed Footwear is required by participants at every workshop. Hands On Brisbane reserves the right to refuse entry to a workshop if the attendee is not wearing suitable attire.

Participants are required to sign a waiver at the workshop they attend. Participants are to follow instructions, safety precautions and advice when given.

Participants are required to arrive on time.  Our workshops will start on time.  If you are not attending on the day please contact Hands On Brisbane using the contact information in the mail out that is sent a few days before the event.  If you are unable to attend on the day please pass your ticket on to a friend.  As we prepare in advance for the number of attendees we are unable to offer you a refund.

If we cancel a workshop you will receive a refund.
