Inkle weaving is a fast creative form of weaving. Linen or cotton is used to produce a sturdy band that can be used for bags straps, pet collars, belts, key fobs, earrings, guitar straps and more. Unlimited patterns and colour combinations are used to create a unique work of art.
The inkle loom and linen yarn will be provided for use on the day at no extra cost.
Your tutor will be Ruth Mitchell an experienced weaver who enjoys using the inkle loom to create unique woven items.
- Learn to warp an inkle loom • Learn to weave a linen band in a range of colours.
- You will weave a sturdy band using linen thread. It will be made into a high quality key fob and stunning earrings to take home.
- Pen, pencil, rubber, scissors. The inkle looms will be supplied for use on the day as the woven band will be removed from the loom to be made into the key fob and earrings.
Beginners-No prior weaving experience required.

The Guild's aim is to bring together those who practise handweaving, spinning and allied crafts and to help and encourage them to increase their knowledge, understanding and skills by discussion, demonstration, exhibition, teaching and the provision of quality resource materials.
Our Guild rooms house an excellent library and craft supply, sell members work and host a wonderful range of interest groups, classes and workshops.

Cancellations and refunds
The Guild reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient numbers. If we cancel the workshop you will be notified and will be issued with a 100% refund.
If you decide to withdraw 7 or more days prior to the workshop/course date the Guild will retain a 10% administration fee.
If you decide to withdraw less than 7 days before the workshop/course date the Guild will retain 100% of your workshop fee.
