With its wooded rolling green hills, perfect Renaissance cities and some of the greatest art in the world, Tuscany has been attracting hordes of tourists since the days of the Grand Tour. The cooking of Tuscany has as much interest as its famed tourist attractions.

Known as the “mangiafaglioli” (bean eaters) the Tuscans have as much variety in their cuisine as they have in their artistic heritage.

This is what we will explore in our Tuscan classes.

As much as I loved the food and watching it being prepared in front of me, I think the part that I liked most was the lady herself. Sandra is clearly a lover of creativity and style and she shares a special intimacy with her participants that makes her lessons very real and honest. Attending a La Cucina Di Sandra cooking class is but a small invitation into Sandra’s world. Go visit the Italian lady in her beautiful Richmond home and get a taste of what REAL Italian cooking is all about. Thanks Sandra! Bree (

Before attending her class we had never met Sandra, but already we’re talking about how we can swing another trip to Melbourne. Sandra’s passion for Italy and generosity with her knowledge make this an experience worth travelling for. We drove eight hours from Adelaide to get to La Cucina di Sandra and it was indeed ‘vale la pena’ – worth the effort! Here’s all you need to know to book your own evening or buy a class for a friend. So go ahead – take a trip to Italy, if only for an evening. [Mary Louise (]

We had a really great experience with Sandra at the Tuscan style cooking class. She talked us through the meal preparation and where to get the best produce, we could watch and learn as the night went on. I have to say- eating was a definite highlight- wow, such yummy food. It was a very enjoyable experience and I feel confident to try the recipes myself. There is nothing like learning a few handy tricks to improve your cooking! Thank you Sandra, we're looking forward to participating in another class soon.

Definitely enjoyed the evening It was good value. The food was great, company was great. The instructor was really informative. I would definitely recommend this class to others.

I have done 3 courses with Sandra and each one was FANTASTIC. I have added to my cooking skills and my recipe base. I love the method of learning and having the Cook right there open for questions was a real experience. The food was amazing and well worth the investment. Do it again ? Hell yes I am booked in for the next round.
