Description

Although dried pasta is cheap and readily available, there is nothing like fresh homemade pasta. If you have never attempted making fresh pasta before, this is the class for you! You will learn to make pasta from scratch using a pasta machine and shape it several ways.

To complement the pasta, you’ll make three classic yet simple Italian sauces, as well as a traditional Italian dessert to conclude the meal. As seen on Channel 7's Great South East.

Sample Menu:

  • Fresh Egg Fettucine
  • Fresh Egg Spaghetti
  • Fresh Egg Stracci
  • Italian Sausage and Tomato Sauce
  • Pesto alla Genovese
  • Smoked Salmon & Creamy Lemon Sauce
  • Tiramisu

A life’s a feast cooking class is more than just a cooking lesson: in addition to learning to prepare a selection of sumptuous dishes, you will increase your kitchen skills and culinary knowledge AND enjoy the feast of your creation with wine, in a relaxed and fun environment.

Set on the edge of beautiful Noosa National Park, our cooking classes are interactive, hands on and a heap of fun. We limit numbers to 10 participants so everyone is involved, which means you get the chance to prepare and cook all the dishes - you’ll come away knowing you can recreate the dishes at home because you’ve done each and every step.

Once the dishes are prepared, feast on the fruits of your labour with your fellow class mates and enjoy a generous sit down meal, a couple of glasses of wine and some sparkling conversation.

We have been operating for over 10 years and are proud to hold a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2016 and 2017, as well as recently winning the Tourism Noosa Customer Service Award. We are genuinely passionate about food and cooking, and our prime objective is for you to be inspired and to ignite your passion for food whilst having fun in the process. At our boutique cooking school, we use fresh, quality, local produce.

Philosophy

life’s a feast is passionate about food and cooking, and is of the belief that the ultimate compliment you can pay anyone is to prepare them a meal from the heart. It is our experience that many people associate cooking and entertaining with stress, hard work and very little reward. But it doesn’t have to be that way – we believe that preparing a meal and having guests should be a joy, not a chore. In line with this philosophy, our recipes and menus have been developed with the following in mind:

1. High “wow” factor, low effort

2. Use of seasonal and local ingredients wherever possible

3. Recipes are all designed to be easy to follow and prepare, so you will easily be able to recreate them at home.

07 June 2018 • Pasta Making and Italian Sauces Cooking Class

It was a great day for learning to make friends, pasta, sauces AND a tiramisu. Would recommend it to anyone. No special skills needed, just a willingness to learn and participate. Gail was a pleasure to work with and for, as we learnt the various skills necessary to make the great meal we finished up with. Too much for us to even consider eating. Nice wine too! Glen 020618.

I have finally done something that I always wanted to do but never got around to doing. My expectation were met in that it was fun, entertaining, emgaging and it was easier than I thought. It is also something that I will attempt on my own - confidence to do it. I loved the other titbits that I picked up and the feast afterwards was great. Highly recommend this course

27 April 2017 • Pasta Making and Italian Sauces Cooking Class

I loved, loved this class! I learned so much about making pasta & Italian sauces . Fresh pasta is so yummy, it's worth the work. The highlight of the class was eating what we just made during our lesson with the rest of the classmates. It was such a treat to set down and enjoy lunch with others that you spent the morning with while cooking . Thanks Gail!
