Description

Learning handstand technique involves a multifunctional training method that improves your body strength, coordination and balance. This class will teach you to take control over your limbs, core and back in order to achieve supreme body awareness. Inverted postures such as handstands which involve working against gravity challenge you to improve your self-confidence and disciple which will set you on the path to achieving a perfect handstand. Muscle development is another key advantage of handstand training, particularly improvements in upper body strength and shoulder stability which is helpful for other sporting and acrobatic disciplines. A perfect handstand doesn’t come over night, hand and wrist strength, conditioning and body line drills to strengthen the handstand ‘line’ will all be included in the class. This is a great workout for both Male and Females and you can walk away with a new skill!

Meet the trainer: SIMON STOREY -  ACROBATICS & FLEXIBILITY TRAINER

Simon's background is as a dancer, training at the Royal Ballet in London and working with the Bejart Ballet company in Europe. He later studied physical theater and acrobatics with the late Johnny Hutch (A British legend in circus and acrobatics) and with Niall Grifiths sports acrobatic club and Spellbound, their elite display squad. 

Simon's accolades include training and performing in London's West End as an acrobat/dancer/singer and actor. He has featured in nearly fifty Television commercials as well as a few short films. Simon fell in love with Australia while working for the renown Australian company, Global Creatures, performing in 'How to train your Dragon' and has been here ever since. 

Simon is a much loved trainer at Limber Sports Performance with many years of knowledge and experience to share. He is a passionate teacher and always finds extra time to assist his students. As well as teaching for Limber he works with the full time dance students at Patrick Studios Australia and The Space Dance & Arts School.

Duration: 60 Minutes Tuesday & Friday Evenings Summer Timetable up to and including 27/01 all classes 7-8pm From 30/01 onwards regular times will resume Tuesdays 8.15-9.15pm & Fridays 8-9pm

Great teacher , great environment . Enjoyed the class with Simon, he makes things look so easy . Lauren is lovely, it's very easy to communicate with her , will definitely go back .
