Classes are all one-day sessions. There are no pre-requisite classes or skills. They are conducted in a casual and relaxed environment in a state-of-the-art teaching kitchen.

All classes are hands-on so you will be preparing the food and not just watching a demonstration. We limit the size of the group to ensure personal attention to all participants.

A typical class commences with an introduction to the Chinese pantry, as well as a detailed explanation of the background and context of each dish and particular ingredients.

Then all participants will be invited to put on their aprons and start the fun hands-on practice. They will be working together to prepare 3-4 dishes while demonstration and cooking instruction are given throughout the session.

We ensure that every participant is given exposure to all the dishes. Then everyone get to enjoy a full sit-down lunch accompanied by specialty teas to crown your participation in the class.

Yum Cha at Home - 23 Oct 2016 10:30 AM

The class was cancelled due to lack of numbers less than 4 days before it was due to take place (20th October - 12.49pm). We were very disappointed as had waited several months and planned for it as it was a gift for my nephew - an annual treat - and now I'm back to square one having to find another cooking course to do together. I was fully refunded my payment without question and also offered an alternate date which we could not make work in the busy period between now and Christmas.
