Easter is around the corner, and nothing is more fun that sewing things that look like cute little bunnies and baby chickens.

Come and join us for the day for a social and fun class, where you can improve your sewing skills and give your creativity a boost.

We will be making an adorable, but very practical lined fabric baskets, strengthened by interfacing and wadding. Once you know how to make these, you won't want to stop and soon your house will have a storage basket for everything. On the day, we are making our fabric basket look like a bunny, to run with the Easter theme and make it extra cute.

Then we will move on to sewing an adorabel egg warmer, in the shape of a chicken. It is self lined, strengthened with interfacing, and will give you an excellent opportunity to practice sewing tight curves. Once you know how to make these you can go home and make a set, and some to give away as adorable presents (not only for Easter)

Most importantly, in this workshop we will learn to sew with as little pins as possible, like industry professionals! The amount of time saved and precision gained by pinless sewing will make you want to adapt this technique to all your sewing.

We provide the fabric for your Chicken egg warmer, and there may be some little Easter treats, too. But we recommend your bring a sandwich lunch as there is no cafe within the immediate walking vicinity of our studio. Please also check the 'Materials to Bring' list for materials needed on the day for making your fabric bunny basket. Alternatively, you can buy a kit for $10 AT THE TIME OF BOOKING with everything needed to make your bunny basket.
