About This Class

Class Schedule

  • Term 2: Saturdays 22nd April- 24th June 2017
  • Term 2: Sundays 23rd April- 25th June 2017
  • Duration: 2 Hours per session

What You Will Learn

  • Explore creative drawing techniques and experiment with a vast selection of art mediums of your choice
  • Gain an understanding on how to set up sucessful composition for your drawing
  • Learn how to brainstorm ideas through creative writing

What You Get

  • Art materials and aprons are provided for each lesson.
  • Students get to take home their masterpiece
  • All classes facilitate by award winning children's book author and illustrator, Tull Suwannakit
  • Light refreshments of fresh fruits


Students explore their creative expressions through drawing, painting and creative writing, translating ideas into visual narratives.

By utilising their own unique individuality and style with analytical and problem solving skills, students turn ordinary subject matters into an imaginative world of endless artistic creativity.

Classes foster the devlopment of artistic, communication and literacy skills that can be expanded to other areas of learning. Students  learn to recognise and  analyse animate and inanimate subjects using discrimination of shapes and transformation techniques.

Freedom of artistic expression is encouraged through experimentation of a wide range of medium, group discussion and researching, which results in new discoveries. 

Malvern School of Art offers visual art programs that are fun and engaging, as well as providing a balanced blend of critical thinking,analytical, and communicative skills with fundamental art techniques. We base our teaching on the individual development and skills of each student, fostering imagination, creativity, and literacy through the exploration of drawing, painting and sculpture. Students translate and implement the given topics via their own creative interpretation using freedom of experimentation through a vast range of art mediums,open-ended discussion and group collaboration. This results in new discoveries of a transformative art approach, immersing students in a creative and engaging visual art learning experience. Through the acquisition of artistic skills, students become confident and empowered tofind creative solutions and to discover their own unique artistic styles.
