A fun session for adults where you will attempt the basics of throwing on the pottery wheel. This class is scheduled by demand, for all those people whos Saturday is too hectic for Saturdays Try the wheel. All tools and clay are included You may choose to have your work trimmed glazed and fired by one of our technicians for a cost of $10 per piece. Allow aprox 4 weeks until your work is ready for collection. Please bring a towel and apron

Muddy Girl Studio is the ceramic studio of potter and teacher Claire Johnson.
Claire has worked in the ceramic industry for the past 18 years. After graduating from Chisholm Tafe with a Diploma of Ceramics she went on to become a facilitator of children’s clay activities for Clayplay Inc. For the past four years Claire has been teaching throwing classes at Northcote Pottery Supplies. She has worked for commercial manufacturers such as Robert Gordon Australia and Clayworks as a technician and has undertaken freelance commissions from companies such as TXU and Heatmaster.
Claire currently works and teaches from her studio situated in an idyllic location at the foot of Mt Dandenong. Her aim is to create and share a love of handcrafted ceramics, vessels that are not only for everyday use but are also objects that can be cherished for a lifetime. Her works is predominately thrown on the potters wheel from stoneware or porcelain clay and high fired to 1280 Celsius for strength and durability.
A class or course can only be cancelled up to 15 days prior to commencement.
Any class or course cancelled after this will not be refunded.
We do however allow transfers to another person.
You must notify us before the commencement of the first class.
Make up classes may be possible if a single class is missed.
