It was great to be able to see Niro cook in a Community Cooking class by NECCHI, after having had the joy of eating his food in Tamil Feasts. It was well prepared and set up, and great care was taken to ask a lot of detailed questions and to get explanations and clarification. The actual food preparation was demonstrated very clearly. What made it especially interesting was the conversation about the Sri Lankan context of the dish - the types of vegetables that would be available & used for the dish, what it would be eaten with and the meals it would used for. A great way to learn a little about life in other places as well as broadening my cooking skills!

I enjoy cooking hence I attended the cooking zoom session organised by NEECHI. The cook Nick did some really out of the box while cooking. I always enjoy learning something new. Nick added yeast to the scrambled tofu. It was something very new for me. Nick was explaining everything very clearly. The food he cooked looked very healthy and yum. The time I spent was well worth.

I just went to my first Community Cooking event and really loved it. What a great initiative - I live in the local area and have been looking to find ways to connect with people in my 5 km radius, cooking is the perfect way, and the vegan breakfast looked delicious, can't wait to try cooking it!
