Raymond Laurens Tutor Profile

Raymond has been involved in the ceramics industry for over half his life. Learning mould making stills at KAARL Moulds & Ceramics, he then completing an Advanced Diploma in Ceramics at Holmsglen TAFE. From there he started his own mouldmaking business, manufacturing for many high profile artists before taking on a roll as Production Manager at Elliot Golightly. He is now Director of Northcote Pottery Supplies and runs our mouldmaking courses and one-day workshops.

Raymond is fascinated with the beauty of imperfection and finds working with moulds the perfect way to explore this, manipulating seemingly identical slipcast forms to create quite individual works of art.
