In one day of wet, messy fun, you'll learn the secrets of natural indigo dyeing. You'll learn how to create various resist patterns in the fabric, contrasting deep indigo with paler areas where the dye can't reach. You'll then create your preferred resist before dyeing your fabric in the natural indigo vat. And you'll learn how to care for your dyed fabric to retain the pattern.
Prepared fabric will be available to purchase on the day, or you can bring your own, up to 1 metre. Your own fabric must be pre-washed and dried.
Materials fee: $15 - pay to the tutor on the day
Class fee: $140
