About This Event

Class Schedule

  • 3 x 2 hour classes, Sundays 10:30-12:30
  • 20 August - Class 1, dealing with small holes in wool
  • 27 August - Class 2, jazzing up your favourite cardi or jumper
  • 10 September - Class 3, patching jeans

What You Will Learn

  • Learn techniques for invisible mending
  • Explore interesting ways to embellish your clothes

  • Take home your mended and embellished clothes along with the skills to fix more


Does your favourite jumper have moth holes? Is your favourite dress looking a little tired?  Have you found an op shop treasure that you'd like to make your own? Learn to artfully mend your favourite clothes and thank them for all the fond memories by giving them a new lease of life.

Over three classes, learn basic techniques to invisibly mend clothing, and then take it further to embellish, update and artfully enhance!

Dates:  Sunday mornings, 20 August, 27 August, 10 September.  Time: 10:30am-12:30pm

Class fee:  $125

About the tutor: Zara Parker is an accomplished artist/maker in several different crafts, and is a photographer by training.  She teaches a number of courses at Opendrawer, and also helps out with our in-store activities.
