About

It started with Christina:

…She’s a part-time primary school teacher and mother to 3 sons, as well as the owner of Mabel the 1969 Vintage Viscount Ambassador.

What started as a “girl cave” in the backyard: Read more about that here; has become a studio to enjoy craft with like minded children.

For Christina, there’s nothing she loves more than making things pretty, organising stuff, being creative with arts and craft, building relationships… and planning parties.  That’s when she’s not spending time with her school students and little family. Christina holds a current registration as a primary school teacher with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, as well as a Working With Children’s Check. She also has an up to date first aid certificate.

Crafternoons and children’s craft parties in Mabel, the vintage caravan, are currently held where she is “parked” at the back of Our Little Caravan: the collective store, 39 Westerfield Dve, Notting Hill, Melbourne.

Beginners Polymer Clay - 20 May 2017 10:30 AM

I loved this class! Christina made the instructions very clear and once we got going we experimented with some other ways of working with the polymer clay. There was plenty of colours and things to use and I created some gorgeous necklaces. Christina was a fantastic teacher and I loved the class, am addicted now to making mor polymer clay creations!

Women's top sewing workshop - 03 May 2017 7:00 PM

I booked this class at the last minute and was pleasantly surprised. I was greeted by Robyn at the door and was lucky enough to be told it was a one on one session. Robyn asked what my previous experience was with sewing and then went on to explain what we would be doing for the night. There was plenty of choice in fabric and cotton colours. Robyn had a pattern ready for me, explained about pinning it and marking the seams for easy match up when sewing. She went through how to wind a bobbin as well as thread the machine. She guided me step by step, starting with the shoulder seams, then the yoke, side seams and then hemming. The time flew, with conversation flowing and a gorgeous top completed. I left with a showbag containing my pattern, instruction sheet and my top. I can definitely recommend this class as well as Robyn as a teacher. I will book in for another one of Robyn's workshops. Thanks again, Nikki
