About your tutor
Melbourne based Sue Beyer has recently completed an MFA research candidate at the VCA in Melbourne, supported through an Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarship. In 2018 she was awarded the National Gallery of Victoria Women’s Association Award for the work created as part of her candidature.
Sue has held solo exhibitions in Brisbane and Melbourne and participated in group shows internationally in San Francisco and New York. She was awarded an Australia Council ArtStart Grant in 2010, been a finalist in numerous prizes and was the winner of the Emerging artist category in the Stanthorpe Art Prize in 2014. Her work is included in public collections including Artbank, as well as numerous corporate collections.
Sue is the creator and a director of Sandbox Studios in Brunswick, Melbourne.

Sandbox Studios is a small group of art studios, gallery and workshop space, with a focus on facilitating a creative and social space.
The studio hosts a range of creative workshops and classes for all skill levels.
Come and learn alongside the artists in a working studio environment.
Workshops will be led by professional artists and include old favourites like life drawing, but also intensives that focus on specialised techniques and mediums.
The studios are located near Brunswick Train Station, there is ample off street car and bicycle parking.

Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Sandbox Studios Melbourne or organised by Sandbox Studios Melbourne must agree to these terms and conditions.

I agree to give Sandbox Studios Melbourne unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at Sandbox Studios Melbourne classes and events or on Sandbox Studios Melbourne's premises. (For use of Sandbox Studios Melbourne marketing materials).
Sandbox Studios Melbourne requires 48 hours notice in writing prior to the class for a full refund or transfer.
In the event that a class is cancelled, students will be notified via text message or email and entitled to a full refund or credit.
Sandbox Studios Melbourne requires 48 hours notice via email prior to the start of a class or event for a full refund or transfer. Refunds and transfers will not be processed if cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the event commencing. We do not offer refunds for missed classes. There are no fees for refunds or transfers.
