Note: This is the 2nd in a series of 7 Sustainable Gardening Talks.  You can book the talks individually or book all 7 talks with our Summer Series Package and receive up to 30% discount. What a great Christmas present for someone who loves their garden.

Your garden is the home for many types of insects – the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. In this talk we will look at how to use nature to strengthen the balance within your garden allowing you to minimise unnecessary chemical use. We will discuss mechanical, cultural, biological and low impact chemical controls to help you manage your garden pest problems.

About Richard Rowe

Richard is a passionate home gardener, worm farmer, experienced trainer and community facilitator. After a long and successful corporate career in finance and sustainability, Richard now focuses on environmental education for both adults and school children and on the local food movement.

Sustainable Gardening Australia (SGA) is a not-for-profit non-government organiation dedicated to achieving a healthy biodiverse planet.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

SGA’s Cancelation and Refund Policy

  • No refunds will be given for non-attendance.
  • If there are insufficient numbers for an event it may be cancelled or postponed by SGA. If this is the case, you will be notified and given the option of either a full refund or a transfer to a different SGA event of equivalent value.
  • Attendee initiated cancellations - Refunds will be issued for cancellations if you give at least 7 days notice prior to the start date. Refunds will be reduced by 1) a $10 SGA administration fee 2) WeTeachMe fees (if applicable) and 3) any financial transaction fees (if aplicable).
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations with less than 7 days notice unless the event is successfully booked out, including the cancelled tickets.
