Bachata Class - Level 2 (Chatswood)
Bachata is a social Latin dance that originated in the Dominican Republic. It is the second most popular genre of music played in the Latin clubs in Australia. It is often danced in a close embrace and can be a very connected and sexy dance style.
In this beginners class, you will learn all the basics of Bachata, such as basic steps and simple turns. You will also learn to get close with your dance partner, however no partner is necessary, as everyone rotates in class!.
For the Girls: We recommend wearing comfortable dance wear such as lycra leggings, leotard tops, t-shirts and singlet tops, dance skirt over leggings, and either chorus shoes or low-heel leather shoes. No clunky necklaces or big jewellery please!
For the Boys: We suggest casual wear such as jeans and shirt or t-shirt, leather work shoes or leather slip-on shoes or boots. Don't wear heavy runners because they grip the floor and you won't be able to spin – and no thongs please!
