Description

Learn how to bake delicious sourdough bread at home. This workshop first covers the basics including how to keep your culture active and healthy as well as a very easy 'no-knead' method of bread making. Next you will learn some simple techniques to get the perfect rise and shape whilst getting your hands dirty making your very own artisan sourdough loaf. 

You will receive your very own starter culture, taste a range of delicious loaves and leave with recipes for a range of sourdough goodies, your own take home loaf ready for the oven as well as all the know-how to bake at home.

This was a great class, a really thorough and hands on approach to sourdough baking. I went away confident and haven't stopped baking since. Angela the instructor was really knowledgable and structured the session so we covered all steps of the process, tasted the results and took a loaf home to bake. A banneton and sourdough starter were included in the cost and Angela's after class service has been terrific. I thoroughly recommend this course, my fellow bakers in training were good company as well.

We learned how to feed and care for our starter, and how to make our own sourdough bread at home. Unlike other courses which have been held in bakeries with professional quality ovens and equipment, this was held in a domestic kitchen similar to mine, which made the techniques and tips even more relevant. The teacher was excellent. She had a very hands on approach, was very knowledgable and yet made it a lot of fun. And the best part was that we got to take the dough with us and bake our own bread at home that day. Highly recommend this course.
