The workshop will start with an artist talk from your instructor and street art demonstration where they will cover a range of different can skills to get you started on your spraypainting journey.

Spray paint is a challenging medium to work with and our artist is here to guide you through all the insider tricks of the trade. After a few practice activities where you will experiment with different techniques in our dedicated spraypainting venue, participants will then head back to the classroom for a short sketching and design session. Blender Studios

Vendor since 2016

Many artists from the Blender have achieved great success in their research and practice.

There has always been a heavy research influence at the Blender. There is a lot of discussions and constructive criticism.

Over the years there has been many Blender artists working in a variety of mediums, who have achieved major critical success.

In early 2004 the Blender closed, to be opened again in 2007 in the same place. The climate of the Australian art scene had changed and as the Blender re-opened its doors it was clear that the Blender was also going to be different. We still have a strong link to street art with some of the most famous and prolific street artists calling the Blender home.

The Blender has changed now, it has become more of an art complex with 20+ studios, an artist in residence program, the Blender laneway street art project, the Melbourne Propaganda Window, Dark Horse Experiment and The Melbourne Street Tours.

14 July 2019 • Kids Holiday Workshop - Freehand Street Art

Kids had a great time(12,11). They enjoyed themselves, learnt a lot about street art and were keen to take their creations home. Piya was very helpful in getting them back to Perth. Thanks would recommend.

15 April 2019 • Kids Holiday Workshop - Freehand Street Art

Our fourteen year old son attended the Freehand Spray Painting holiday workshop and he had an amazing time! He loved learning a variety of techniques and the specific process involved when doing Street Art. When I went to pick him up he didn't want to leave because he was having so much fun! The facilitators worked closely to support him in producing his own Street Art Mural which now has a pride of place in his bedroom. The facilitators of this workshop were so friendly and helpful and made our son, feel so comfortable and he now definitely has a passion to continue creating Street Art as a hobby and to pursue Art as a career. Thank you for providing our son with the chance to express himself through his artwork! He will definitely attend another of Blender Studios workshop in the near future.
