Description

In this special teen class we will cover all the basics to using a lap loom, simple techniques and tricks for starting out as well as steps for finishing and hanging your woven piece. This class is a shorter version of our standard beginners class and is designed as an easy introduction to weaving.

You can choose to use a Studio loom for the duration of the class or purchase your own take home loom kit to make a larger weaving and continue this at home.

We also have a new adult and child ticket option! Both of you will work on your own looms during class and you will take home a full loom kit to share for future projects.

The class will cover a range of different stitch types, patterns and colours to create your weaving design. We will also look at different weaving styles from artists around the world and how their techniques can provide us with colour and design inspiration. A wide selection of beautiful wools and roving will be available for you to use. If you don't finish your piece within 3 hours, you can borrow the Studio loom to complete your weaving if necessary for a small deposit.

Good tunes, good times

A great craft workshop is more than learning a new creative skill and making something yourself. It's about meeting friends, sharing laughs and having a fabulous day out. That's why our kids classes include treats and tunes to keep the creative juices flowing. And for our adult classes, we offer nibbles with tea, coffee, wine or bubbles - whatever takes your fancy.
