Stoneware Ceramics Workshop (June 2019)

Book Now (http://weteachme.com/l/34i2jZor)

Daisy Cooper’s hand built ceramic wares are reminiscent of times gone by - of a slower life where afternoons were spent meandering along the riverbank, gazing up at the native greenery, or of nights spent staring at the sparkly dust of the milky way.  After all, this is where Daisy gathers her inspiration for her much sought after range of hand made ceramics - growing up in rural Scotland, has kindly delivered such vivid memories, evident in her ‘river like’ glazes and speckly white plates seen the world over (Jamie Oliver has used Daisy’s work in his Food Revolution series - yes, Jamie Oliver!).

Due to popular demand, Daisy will be back at The Windsor Workshop in June (after FIVE sold out workshops this year!!!). You will be treated to a morning of slow clay, hand building pieces from scratch.  You will be able to choose glazes from Daisy’s range - pieces will be fired and then returned to The Windsor Workshop for collection.

Important info

The Windsor Workshop is located on level 1 of 115 Chapel Street, Windsor.  Windsor train station is a 4 minute walk, or jump off at Duke Street stop on Tram 78.  All day parking is available behind Paint Spot, Windsor (opposite the station) for around $7/day.

Our workshops are suitable for persons 16 years or older.

It is likely you will be photographed at the workshop, so please let us know if you do not want to be published.

Terms and Conditions / Cancellations

The Windsor Workshop reserves the right to cancel any scheduled workshop.  The reasons this may occur are (a) if a workshop does not reach the minimum number of students or (b) an Artist or Workshop Facilitator falls ill.  In the unfortunate circumstance of a workshop being cancelled, students will be notified at least 2 days before the commencement of the workshop and a credit note will be issued to be used at a later date.  Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds if the class is cancelled.

If you are unable to attend your workshop, please let us know within four working days of your workshop and we will give you a credit note to be used at a later date, or transfers are available upon request. No credit notes will be issued for cancellations when less than four working days' notice is given. Generous workshop. They was plenty of assistance with the clay, plenty of clay, plenty of options and plenty of lunch. Perhaps most importantly, plenty of tea! A lovely morning and we all made such a range of functional and decorative objects.

The workshop was wonderful! My mum and I had such a great time and felt we learnt so many skills that we could use to create our own pieces during the workshop. Daisy was such a warm, patient and talented teacher and we had so much fun! We're looking forward to seeing the final pieces and doing more pottery in the future!

The ceramics workshop with Daisy Cooper was everything I could've hoped for and more. Daisy is pure heaven: a terrific and generous teacher, quick and concise as she whips through the demonstrated techniques. This leaves plenty of time for hands on making and loads of one on one help where you need it with your own projects. The food and drink is delicious, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I loved it. I just hope my pieces don't explode in the kiln and I have something with which to remember this wonderful few hours other than just my memories. A really really worth while undertaking.
