I really enjoyed this class. I was a complete beginner and it was a great place to start. I'm really inspired and can't wait to keep doing more at home! I thought Think Thornbury was a cool venue, I picked up a book. Thanks for the tip Maggie and Josh! I'll be back again.

This was a perfect introduction to spoon carving and the space is just so beautiful so work in! After four hours my hand started to get quite tired, but in the end I walked out with my own beautiful hand carved wooden spoon!

The spoonie workshop provided a different method of working with natural wood ,incorporating the use of sharp implements to articulate one's artistic flair in creating a spoon. It utilised precision and technique to create shape and depth, using stamina and muscle power.
