Art and Ecology Workshop

Book Now (http://weteachme.com/l/TJpWPqsr)

Create art and learn about fundamental ecology concepts in this fun and informative creative workshop with Aviva Reed. Aviva's multidisciplinary research has combined studies from the areas of Art, ecology and science. This has culminated in a really unique teaching model and workshop experience where you are guided through creating your own ecological portrait using diverse mediums such as watercolour, pastel and pencil, informed by ideas from the field of ecology.

This workshop provides a mini lecture on ecology followed by a structured creative process. Aviva uses the format of a creative workshop to communicate and understand ideas around ecology through sketching, watercolour and planning a design.

Themes covered include evolution, succession and biogeography. You will learn about how ecosystems change, evolve and adapt using storytelling and art to encourage a creative understanding of these ideas.

Have you always wanted to know more about the environment from a creative scientific point of view? This workshop session in ecology and art is suitable for anyone interested in knowing more about the dynamics of their surroundings and ecosystems. Especially well suited to teachers, planners, architects, artists and the eco-conscious/curious.
