Join us at Think Thornbury for a casual Sunday afternoon of creativity! Bring along a neglected project and settle in for afternoon tea and crafting. Whether it's the travel journal you always meant to finish, a painting technique you want to practice, some sewing you haven't gotten around to, or something else entirely - all crafty projects are welcome!

All skill levels are encouraged to attend, with projects big and small. The 'Sunday Crafternoon' is a space to nurture your creativity and indulge in the joy of making.

If you're not feeling creative or inspired, don't worry, we'll have lots of supplies on hand to help you get started - just bring along a notebook or something to use as a starting point.

Hosted by Tamsien West from Babbling Books, who will supply boundless enthusiasm and encouragement (as well as tea and snacks) to get your creative project started, and plenty of tips to inspire and motivate you. Think is a combined shopfront and creative workshop venue in Thornbury founded in 2017 by Melbourne artist Maggie May (from the Middle Aisle), and musician and educator Joshua Kelly.

Think formed to nurture and support a local community of artists and creators, while simultaneously empowering people to develop creative thought through their interactions with artists’ products and workshops.

The store has a strong focus on local Australian made and ethically produced products, whilst the workshop venue connects customers directly to these makers through workshops and other creative events.

I had a wonderful Sunday working on my project surrounded my friendly and open minded people!

This was a really free-form, low key way to get together in a comfortable, productive space and work on projects in an open setting. Would definitely recommend to fellow creators as an informal, rejuvenating way to continue with a work in progress, or even be inspired by something new on the day.

I really enjoyed the crafternoon with Tamsien and the other participants. It was a great way to spend a rainy afternoon in a cozy environment with like minded souls along with yummy snacks and free flowing conversation. I was also glad that a good friend of mine came with me. A good way to de-stress after a long work week. So glad that I went.
