Want to make clothes that you'll actually wear? Or maybe you've already had a sizing disaster and your not sure why. You are not on your own! Click here to read our post "Seriously Confused by Sewing Sizes?" and discover that you are in very good company.

Unfortunately, you can't just pick up a pattern envelope and pick the dress size you usually buy from the store and we're going to help you understand why!

Join us for this technique perfecting class that will teach you how to take measurements accurately and where to take all the various measurements. You'll also learn about the vast difference between retail sizing and dress making sizing, discover how to find the finished garment size and get an idea of how you can adapt patterns to fit the fact that our bodies are all different sizes.

Very informative, certainly learned new things about retail dress sizes that I didn't know before! Thanks for the class!

This was a great class as it opened up how shop-brought measurements are created. It was great to learn how to tailor a pattern based on our own 'odd' measurements. Was well worth the time.

I really enjoyed this class (A-line skirt). I learnt to do darts! I got to use the overlocker (great fun and now have one on lay-by)! I got an awesome skirt and some great sewing tips at the end of it! Highly recommended as a great entry point for learning to make your own clothes. 5/5
