Pattern Design: Pop on into this class to create a cushion cover... with pom pom trim!!! You'll make a cushion to fit a 45cm/18" insert.
Photographed Sample: Our sample cushions include 2 metres of pink pom pom trim that has been inserted into the seams of one cushion and 1 metre of each a pink and green pom pom trim has been topstitched diagonally across the corners of the second sample cushion.
Notes on supplies: Ensure you select a closed end invisible zip (not the very similar light weight open ended zip). If you want a choice of stunning trims in almost anything you can dream up, head to Jimmy Buttons on George Street in Fitzroy. Ensure that your trim has a nice sized tape edge (at least 1cm) - it is very difficult to insert trims with a smaller tape edge).

great class, easy to follow instructions and the teachers are knowledgeable, funny and friendly
This class was fantastic. I loved learning about the materials used and why to use it over others, using an overlocker and sewing machine, not to mention inserting a pesky invisible zip. I now have a great cushion that I love and made. Jen was fantastic such a great teacher and so helpfull. Some people even finished early so time/ length of the class is perfect.
I have done the beginners class at Thread Den and really enjoyed that, unfortunately though this class seemed a bit short for what is required in order to finish the cushion. Only one person in our class was able to complete their cushion cover within the 3hr limit and this was mainly due to them being quite experienced with sewing. This class probably shouldn't be marketed towards beginners unless the time allowed for the class is increased.
