Held on the second Sunday of the month from 2pm to 5pm, it's our Sunday Afternoon Sewing Session!

Guests pop into finish projects they've started in class, to work on current projects on a sewing machine, trace off patterns on the cutting tables, get some overlocking done...  But, it's not exclusively sewing, bring in your knitting and crochet projects, hand sewing, embroidery, there's even been hat steaming in the past!  Hell, you can pop in just for a chat!

Sunday Afternoon Sewing Sessions are free for  Thread Den Members.

Bookings essential.

Advice given during Sunsay Sewing  Session isn't detailed instruction. Many people attend these afternoons and there is usually only one Thread Den teacher running the night. For detailed tuition, look into a Private Lesson scheduled at your convenience.

Not sure if your membership is still current?  Send us an email at and we'll check for you.

Really enjoyed this class. As usual the teaching was proactive and patient. The pattern used as the basis for the class works well. Lauren identifies problems before they happen and helps those who are running behind. Difficult to finish in the two lessons but attending on Sunday sewing or Thursday or Friday lounge booking or Social Sewing evening will see you helped along the way by Lauren or Dan. The instructions handed out are very clear and could be followed well at home if you can't make it in on one of these openings. Thanks Thread Den!

Sunday Afternoon Sewing Sessions are a great way to make headway on my latest sewing projects. My stitching progress would not be as far ahead without these.

This isn't a class as such, but a drop in social sewing session, with lots of lovely people there happy to chat about the sewing projects they are working on. There is a facilitator there if you get stuck and need to ask a quick question. Very enjoyable!
